Preorders

Configure your token's preorder schedule, pricing curve, and funding goal in the Preorders tab of the Advanced Creator.

๐Ÿงญ Overview

The Preorders tab configures how your token's presale works. A preorder is a structured presale period where users commit native tokens (ETH/BNB) to reserve your token before it officially launches. Preorders are a core part of the DibDex token lifecycle.

๐Ÿ“– Key Concepts

๐Ÿ›’ What is a Preorder?

A preorder lets community members commit funds to purchase your token before the Token Generation Event (TGE). The preorder period has a defined start date, cutoff date, and funding goal. If the goal is met, the TGE proceeds and tokens are distributed. If not, all participants receive automatic, on-chain refunds.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Zero risk for participants. If the funding goal isn't reached or the launch is cancelled, all committed funds are automatically refunded by the smart contract โ€” no trust required.

โšก Token Generation Event (TGE)

The TGE is the moment when your token is actually minted and deployed to the blockchain. It occurs after the preorder period closes and the funding goal has been met. After TGE, the token becomes tradeable on the decentralized exchange.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Bonding Curve

During the preorder period, token pricing follows a bonding curve โ€” a mathematical function that increases the token price as more people participate. Early participants get a lower price, rewarding those who commit first. The curve parameters are configured in this tab.

๐Ÿ’ก Early supporters benefit the most. The bonding curve rewards early participation with lower prices, creating natural urgency and incentivizing early commitment from your community.

โš™๏ธ Configuration

๐Ÿ“… Schedule

  • Start Date โ€” When the preorder opens for participation
  • Cutoff Date โ€” The deadline for placing preorders. After this date, no new preorders are accepted

๐Ÿ“Š Pricing Curve

Configure how the token price changes during the preorder:

  • Start Price โ€” The initial price per token when the preorder opens
  • Multiplier โ€” How much the price can increase over the preorder period
  • Increment โ€” The rate at which price changes as participation grows

An interactive preview shows how the price curve will look based on your settings.

๐ŸŽฏ Revenue Goal

The minimum amount of native tokens (ETH/BNB) that must be raised during the preorder period. This is the threshold that must be met for the TGE to proceed.

If the revenue goal is not reached by the cutoff date, the launch is automatically cancelled and all preorder participants receive refunds enforced by the smart contract.

โš ๏ธ Set a realistic goal. If your funding goal is too high and isn't met by the cutoff date, the launch will be automatically cancelled. Consider your community size and engagement when choosing this number.

๐Ÿš€ TGE Trigger

Settings that control when and how the TGE is initiated after the preorder period closes and the goal is met.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Revenue Projections

A revenue projections display shows estimated proceeds based on your pricing curve and goal configuration, factoring in the platform fee.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Refund Protection

All preorders on DibDex include built-in refund protection. This is not a feature you configure โ€” it is enforced by the smart contract architecture:

  • If the launch is cancelled by the creator, refunds are automatic
  • If the funding goal is not met by the cutoff date, refunds are automatic
  • Participants can cancel their own preorders at any time before TGE

To claim a refund, visit your profile page or navigate to the token's detail page. No trust required โ€” the refund mechanism is built into the contract code.

๐Ÿ† A core DibDex differentiator. On most platforms, getting a refund from a failed or cancelled token launch requires trusting the creator to return funds manually. On DibDex, refunds are guaranteed by the smart contract โ€” no support tickets, no waiting, no counterparty risk.
